Meet our Staff

Carol

Hello! I'm Carol. You could say that I've worked for Kim (the owner) my whole life. I'm her mom. We have one male staff member who is behind the scenes in the office--Kim's dad. He is the one creating the website, along with a little bit of everything else. I've been lucky enough to have been married to him for over 40 years. I started working here when Kim needed the help. Now, I do it because I love the interaction with the staff and customers. The staff has a team spirit. They work well with each other and give excellent customer service. Our customers hail from all over the U.S. and Europe. Many drop in every time they visit the Keys. We always enjoy welcoming them back.

Jessica

Hi, my name is Jessica. I was born and raised here in the Florida Keys. I started working at Lion's Lair in April 2010. My favorite part of my job is providing excellent customer service to everybody who walks through our door. It is so rewarding to see how happy people are when they leave our shop, with the perfect fitting suits & bras for them.

Kimberly

Hi! I'm Kim, owner and founder of Lion's Lair. I was born in NY, grew up in London, England and moved to the Keys in 1989. I love the climate and the crystal blue waters of the Keys. However, try as I might I just can't squeeze into a standard bikini. So began my quest to create a swim wear store that catered to real women, not just size 5 models. Over the years, personal experience, customer input, and working with receptive manufacturers have resulted in Lion's Lair present selection. We pride ourselves with the ability to professionally fit every body type. There's no need to dress like your grandmother. There's no reason to feel self-conscious. We have the perfect suit for you. The perfect suit with the perfect fit.

Melba

Hi, I'm Melba; born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Moved to Hialeah, Florida in 1968 with husband, Jack, and later in 1985 moved further south to Key Largo, where we live in the house Jack's parents built in the 50's. Love the peaceful life and beautiful sunsets. I found Lion's Lair in October of 2010 when I came in for a fitting. So impressed that I applied for and got a job as sales associate. I find great satisfaction in helping our clients find just the right fit - usually for the first time.

Patty

Hi, I'm Patty I love working at Lion's Lair! My greatest pleasure is helping our clients find the perfect swim wear and outfits. It is so cool to see how happy our customers are when they find just the right suit! A little about me now, I was raised in West Palm Beach and spent most of my adult life in Atlanta, Ga. I have always worked in sales and customer service but I enjoy my time at Lion's lair the most! I am so happy to be back in the Keys with my son, my sweetheart and all of my new friends at Lion's Lair! Come on in and let us help you find that perfect suit! I promise we will have a lot of fun! Hi, my name is Sarah. I'm originally from Homestead, FL. I've been in the Keys since 2002 and graduated from Coral Shores High. I live on a sailboat and enjoy anything to do with the water. I started working at Lion's Lair in April 2011 part time and fell in love with the warm yet professional atmosphere.

Shannon

Hi, my name is Shannon. I was born in Ontario, Canada but have lived in Key Largo for as long as I can remember. I love the Keys' hot weather, calm atmosphere and people, and the fact that I live right next to the ocean. In my spare time, I wakeboard and love going tubing. I joined Lion's Lair in May of 2008 and absolutely love my job. I work on the shop floor to assist in the proper fitting of women. I enjoy meeting new people at the boutique, and hearing about their hometowns and their journey down to the Keys.

Hi, I'm Tabathia. I grew up here in the Florida Keys and love it. I have two great kids, a daughter and a son. I have worked for Lion's Lair since 2009. I assist customers with their internet orders and really enjoy it! I can't wait to hear from you!
